January has been a month of incredible growth and exciting developments here at Victor + Valor®. As we reflect on what we’ve accomplished and look forward to what’s ahead, we’re reminded of how deeply grateful we are for the support of our community and donors. Here’s a look at what’s been happening and what’s on the horizon:
Unprecedented Growth in Our Community
We kicked off the year with a significant milestone—a 90% increase in requests to join the Victor + Valor® community and services! Even more exciting is that many of these requests came organically, with people discovering our work through word-of-mouth and our growing reputation. This growth is a testament to the impact we’re making and the lives being changed.
Building Strong Partnerships
In January, we deepened our collaboration with other veteran-focused nonprofits like The Commit Foundation. Together, we’re not only refining their branding but also working with their clients who are eager to pursue entrepreneurship. These partnerships expand the reach of our mission and enable us to empower even more veterans.
Empowering Teenage Entrepreneurs
Our teenage entrepreneurship program continues to evolve in remarkable ways. Currently, we’re mentoring three teenage entrepreneurs, each brimming with innovative ideas and far ahead of their years. To best support them, we’ve paired them with experienced mentors who provide direct guidance, answer questions, and encourage their growth. These young trailblazers inspire us daily, and we’re also working with their parents to strengthen their own brands.
Operation Honor Rural Salute® Prepares for 2025
Planning is underway for the second annual Operation Honor Rural Salute® (https://ohruralsalute.org) event, scheduled for June 2025. Thanks to the hard work of Michelle and her team, we’re on track to secure VA funding to support rural veterans. This event is shaping up to be even more impactful than the last, and we can’t wait to share updates as we get closer.
Expanding Our Publishing Efforts
Our publishing leg is growing with the upcoming release of Air Force veteran Steve Lang’s sci-fi trilogy, In The Company of Wolves (https://inthecompanyofwolvesseries.com) . The books, set to launch on March 11, 2025, are now available for preorder. Steve has been working hard on the marketing plan we created for him, lining up book signings and podcast interviews to promote his work.
Launching Our Professional Speaking Leg
On January 31st, we’ll officially launch our professional speaking initiative. With guidance from corporate speaking expert Holly Dowling, our brands will learn how to craft and deliver captivating stories while building platforms that are marketable to paid speaking opportunities. This exciting development opens new doors for our entrepreneurs to share their journeys and inspire others.
February Photo Shoot in Austin
In February, we’re hosting our second four-day photo shoot in Austin, Texas. Nine brands from across the country will join us for this event. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we’ve secured diverse and beautiful locations across Central Texas to ensure that each brand is authentically represented.
